“Paul in Ephesus” | Acts: Where the Church Began, Part 17
Wednesday Sep 24, 2025
Wednesday Sep 24, 2025
This week we explore some of Paul's time in Ephesus. There's the account of the Sons of Sceva who were faking authority by using the name of Christ to try to mimic God's gift of healing through Paul. It did not go well for them! Pastor Adam encourages us to be authentic in our faith and to know and embrace our authority in Christ as we take up the armor of God and battle against the common evil spirits we encounter today. Spirits of, impurity, fear, religion (spiritual pride), or slothfulness (passivity). "We can and should walk in the true and complete authority of Jesus Christ."

“Paul in Corinth” | Acts: Where the Church Began, Part 16
Wednesday Sep 17, 2025
Wednesday Sep 17, 2025
Tune in as Pastor Loïs explains Paul's focus shift from his Jewish brethren to the Gentiles. The message of Christ's crucifixion is a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the Gentiles (1 Cor. 1:23). Even so, we're called to share the Good News to those around us. We can stand on the words of Jesus, "Do not be afraid for I am with you. Speak and do not be silent for I have many in this city who are my people" (Ac 18:9-10, paraphrased). We can have confidence that where Christ sends us with the Gospel, there He has His people (J.I. Packer).

“Nearer Than You Think” | Acts: Where the Church Began, Part 15
Tuesday Sep 09, 2025
Tuesday Sep 09, 2025
This week, Pastor Roger unpacks the apostle Paul's reasoning with the Greeks in Athens as he reveals their "unknown god" as the only true God who is nearer than you think. What can we learn from Paul's evangelistic method for reaching people who have no context of the Word of God? Truth brings freedom and Jesus is the anchor of truth.

Tuesday Sep 02, 2025
Tuesday Sep 02, 2025
Could there be purpose in a prison in which you are no longer bound? Pastor Bryan unpacks a miraculous salvation account that comes through Paul and Silas' imprisonment in Philippi. He explores why we ought to praise God in every circumstance, listen for His promptings, and point people to Jesus. Let's change our perspective as we look around to find purpose in how God directs our lives.
