Continuing our series looking at certain spiritual disciplines, Pastor Adam looked at 1 Kings 19 to the account of Elijah hearing the gentle whisper of God as he experienced solitude while on the run from Jezebel. Among other things, we learn that God provides for our needs and brings correction and direction. So, let's take steps toward inner solitude, putting into practice this discipline and following Pastor Adam's encouragement.

As we begin our new series, Pastor Loïs looks at the first Spiritual Discipline of Simplicity. In his message, he looks at Matthew 6:19-33 where Jesus discusses the danger of any attempt of pursuing both God and money. Based on this, Pastor Loïs encourages us to ask “Which treasure?,” “Which vision?,” and “Which master?” directs our hearts. “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (v. 21) The divine solution to the human problem of duplicity is simplicity. Let's "practice saying no to something material for the sake of increasing contentment in God."

The emphasis in this parable is on working, not for our salvation but as evidence of the grace of God in our lives. Tune in as we learn about the responsibility we receive, the reaction we have, the reckoning we face, and the reward we gain as we pursue the call to "be faithful to maximize [our] opportunity" by taking what we've been given and produce a return for the Master.

Welcome to the finale of our series in the book of Acts! We hope you were encouraged and are more familiar  with the birth of the church in the New Testament. In this last sermon, Pastor Bryan discussed the seemingly anticlimactic end to Acts but highlighted the word "unhindered." This is a word with a very climactic meaning. The advancement of the gospel has continued "unhindered, unstoppable... but still unfinished!" That's where the church today comes in. We're to continue the mission. Acts 1:8 is still our roadmap for today: Be a witness in your Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and end of the earth.

Tune is as Pastor Loïs looks at Paul's journey to Rome in the light of the gospel. Paul faced circumstance, displayed confidence, and experienced God's providence as he went through a severe storm and shipwreck. Through his ordeal, he displayed great balance between spirituality and sanity. Pastor Loïs encouraged us to change our questions, prayer, and interpretation so we better live our calling to go and tell of the good news of Jesus.
