“Luke 4:1-15” | The Story of Redemption, Part 9

In this week’s message, Pastor Loïs explores the temptation of Jesus in the wilderness in Luke 4. These temptations question Jesus' identity as the devil uses the Word of God out of context to entice Jesus to fall for the lust of the eyes, flesh, and pride of life. Praise Him for succeeding where we fail! Now, like Jesus, let us fight every temptation and their false promises with the written promises of God's Scripture.

In this week’s message, Pastor Roger unpacks Luke 3 by comparing the baptism of John, one of water baptism for the forgiveness of sins, to that of Jesus, who baptizes with the Holy Spirit and fire. Jesus was obedient to the Father, identifies with sinful man, while himself remaining perfectly righteous without sin. This makes him alone qualified as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
